This story shed light about how Asians assisted and fought with blacks during the civil rights movement in which I never heard of until now. I have to admit I have associated with a handful of Asians friends in college and they were decent people. I do have my own racial hang ups towards many who come from China. And, many Koreans are not always friendly unless they are doing your nails and even that is weird when they appear to be talking about you like a dog when you complain or ask a question about the price in their language. I get that’s wrong and just like you made a statement about blacks attitude towards Asians, it’s valid. I would guess because many people who come over to America watch the media are told the negative side of blacks. Also when Asians come over to America, they tend to have businesses in the ghetto where the most broken population of Afro Americans are located. They don’t see anything but thugs, people cussing, doing drugs because that’s where many Asian entrepreneurs go”To The Hood” so they don’t see the community of color folks who are educated and striving to do better. Only a small percentage of Asians, it seems see the positive. Now about Asians coming over to America, many of them tend to come over after dealing with severe struggle of abuse and for the women in China, rejection is a big concern. Asians are the most humbled people yet I find them to be radical in a soft way. And I am thinking about writing my own essay about an Asian woman I worked for who was mean in a nice way. But that’s neither here or there. Many Asians come to America for a better way of life, nothing is wrong with that but it seems like our government places them in neighborhoods where blacks are, to pit them against minorities. Many Asians don’t appear to understand Afro American culture and could careless if they do. That causes a rift in the two communities of cultures. That’s the problem the majority of the time.
