First off, I don’t think homosexuality is about just having sex. I point out that whether a person is straight or gay, he or she can have the wrong motives in church. I agree that all people should be able to come into the house of God and worship him as he or she desires. I make a point in talking about women entice men in church with their cleavage because a lot of affairs go on in church. Though the topic is about homosexuality, I am saying that anyone who comes to church should come to honor God. It is a sacred place. I asked him was he coming to church for God or to make church into a gay pride parade? Because yes, I have a problem with that! I know people do things in the dark that he or she shouldn’t but in reality church is a place to worship God in holiness; and yes, God knows our hearts. I don’t want to stereotype gay people or anyone but the truth is that James Finn writes articles saying “It’s Easter..F the Catholic Church” yet he wants to be accepted inside a church. You can’t blatantly attack an institute and want to be apart of it. I agree the Catholic church has done a lot of wrong towards Alter boys and so forth that may or may not have been exposed. But so has a lot of churches. I have worked in baptist churches where the Pastor was told not to come in because they were investigating abuse charges of sexual harassment towards women and children. These things are wrong but again, not every body who is in leadership position is doing evil sexual acts but there are a great number of folks who have been exposed so that makes society look at church in a negative light.
Going back to flaunting and being flamboyant, I ask James Finn what is his motive for inviting gays to be open about whether or not they are gay because to tell you the truth, most people who attend church are in the LGBT community, people just don’t know it because he or she is in the closet. I will give you an example, a woman in the LDS church which I am now a member of, wanted to tell the Bishop that her daughter was an open Lesbian. Now the Mormon church does not agree with gay marriage or homosexuality like most Christian churches and people have been known to be ex-communicated, if they didn’t change their sexuality. Now the church has recently allowed some members of the LGBT community to perform and hold callings in the church as long as they do not have sexual relations with anyone, acting on the feelings. I told my church member, why does anyone need to know she is gay? I mean what business it of theirs but of course, if it something she feels the need to express then she is freely to express it. I guess the truth is that people aren’t going to accept it, maybe a handful but when you come out about something like that what is your motive because church is a place of coming to God about our personal flaws. Sharing it with others can get pretty messy and unkind. And I personally, don’t want to know because why should I be worried about someone else sexuality unless I am interested in dating he or she so that brings up another topic. Can you see why I say what say?
Finally, my personal belief is that everyone is under grace and we all fall short of God’s glory. Homosexuals are welcome in my book but I don’t need to know who he or she is gay or lesbian unless we are going to date. My point is that James Finn wants everyone to be open about who he or she is in church but at the same time he curses the church out when they fail to accept his way of living or thinking. You can’t expect everyone to agree or welcome you in when traditional homosexuality breaks down the who dynamic of the family….let’s face it! That is what most Christians feel…it breaks down the pro-creation theory. I know people will argue homosexuals have children of their own and they have scientific break through but again that is what Christians feel and because they feel that doesn’t give James Finn the right to call them bigots. He really attacked me and called me names, racial name just because I don’t agree with him. You can’t stomp on the church or just bring out lawsuits because they don’t go along with you. If for example, he came into a church and told a leader he was was gay and they spread it all over church and made him feel humiliated because he wasn’t straight, that is a different legal issue and should be dealt with…and it is wrong for a religious organization to that to folks. It happens a lot in church which I feel is wrong! I believe I told James Finn that. That is basically my answer.
